The single greatest cause in the world is joyfully rescuing people from hell, meeting their earthly needs, making them glad in God, and doing it with a kind serious pleasure
that makes Christ look like the Treasure he is
-John Piper

This quote by John Piper hangs above my desk at the YFC office; it is the heart beat of Campus Life ministry. We are always pursuing young people and engaging them with the life-changing message of the Gospel. This Gospel is not simply a heaven and hell transaction, but an invitation to live better and to love better. This message is not disconnected from our everyday lives, but changes our everyday lives.

I had the privilege earlier this month, along with 3 other YFC staff members, to attend a 10-day training institute in Huntington, Indiana. It was there that this cause became crystal clear to me. God has called me to give my life to the students of Wellington High School for the sake of the Gospel.

As the summer begins and we start to make preparations for the next school year it has become clear that Campus Life is not an attractional ministry; we are not inviting students to come to a program or event, our ministry is incarnational. We are inviting students to a relationship and to a way of life.

Please continue to pray that God would provide open doors for meaningful relationships with students, as well as the resources necessary to serve the young people and schools God has called me to. I am thankful that God has used your faithfulness and support to show me His faithfulness.

Soli Deo Gloria

Mike
